Racine Community Forum Rules

The Racine Wide Web and the Racine Community Forum have put the following rules in place to ensure enjoyment of this forum by all users. Our goal is to make sure our forums contain quality content that Racine citizens find useful. Users who violate the rules will receive a warning. Users who continue to violate the rules of posting messages in our forum will be entered into a database of Banned Users. This information will include your IP address (a unique number assigned by your Internet provider), so we can track you—and ban you—even if you post under multiple names and/or email addresses. Posting using someone else's alias is strictly prohibited. The staff of Racine Wide Web reserves the right to remove any post, topic or person for any reason we see fit.

Forum Rules

  1. No vulgar language, profanity, harrassing comments or personal attacks. This includes inappropriate words, sexual and racist references of any kind, and other vulgar statements, including letters replaced in certain words with '$' or '!' and the like.

  2. No slanderous or libelous posts. Knowingly making false claims about a company, organization or an individual are prohibited.

  3. Posts are to be made in the relevant forum. Users are asked to read the forum descriptions before posting.

  4. No repeated advertising, self promotion or product marketing. Be sure to include something new in your post if you mention your business for a second time.

  5. Do not comment on the quality or intent of posts made by others. Flaming or abusing users in any way will not be tolerated and will lead to a warning. Instead of responding to posts you feel are in violation of the rules simply report those posts to Racine Wide Web using the "Report this Post" button located to the right of the each post title.

  6. No spamming. Do not post the same message in every topic with different titles, but with the same message. Only post your message into the topic it most relates too. This includes recruiting members for your own projects (other directories, web designers, etc.). Users posting spam will be warned and their post removed.

  7. Members are asked to respect the copyright of other users, sites, media, etc.

  8. Members should use an appropriate, descriptive title when posting a new topic.

  9. The moderating, support and other teams reserve the right to edit or remove any post at any time. The determination of what is construed as indecent, vulgar, spam, etc. as noted in these points is up to Team Members and not users.

  10. The above forum rules where applicable also apply to private messaging. Abuse of the private messaging system may lead to warnings (as above) and/or the revocation of private messaging.

  11. You are responsible for the content of your posts. By using this forum you remain solely responsible for the content of your messages, and you agree to indemnify and hold harmless, Racine Wide Web and their agents with respect to any claim based upon transmission of your message(s). We reserve the right to revoke your membership to the forum or disable your posting ability for any or no reason whatsoever. Racine Wide Web also reserves the right to reveal your identity (or whatever information we know about you) in the event of a complaint or legal action arising from any message posted by you. If you have any questions about these rules or want to report an infraction of the rules, please contact us at service@racinewideweb.com.
